Procurement

Surrey Police and Sussex Police are collaborating on a single procurement function and a new Joint Procurement Service for the two forces went live on 1 September 2012.

Under the new arrangement, both forces have a single set of contract standing orders and authorisation levels. The main site for the new Joint Procurement Service is in Guildford, with a satellite office based in Lewes. The Joint Procurement Service consists of two service streams: tendering and contract management.

All existing contracts will continue, however when they are due for renewal there will be consideration for a joint contract open to both forces. Invoicing and payment for goods and services will be unaffected by these changes.
