Detectives in Camberley are asking members of the public to help them identify the women in these CCTV images who they wish to speak to in connection with the theft of clothes from a local town centre shop.

The three women, one of whom was carrying a baby, went into a baby store in Princess Way on Saturday, 3 July at 12.22pm. They were seen browsing through items of baby wear which the woman carrying the infant appeared to choose. The two further group members then ripped security tags from the selected clothes and one subsequently stuffed items into her own top.

The trio is described as three white women all with blonde hair. The first is aged in her thirties, of an average build with her hair tied in a ponytail and was wearing a black dress. The second is of a similar age, of a large build and with long straight hair. She was wearing a blue and white striped top, white trousers, flip flops and sunglasses on top of her head. The female carrying the baby is younger, aged about 18-years-old and was of a slimmer build, with her hair tied back. She was wearing a white top and carried a white handbag. The baby was being transported in a pink baby carrier.

DC Chris Greatorex investigating said: “I would appeal to anyone who may recognise any of these individuals to contact Surrey Police in order that officers may speak with them in connection with offences at the shop. Surrey Police will not tolerate this type of crime which directly affects local businesses and indirectly all customers as prices may be increased to cover losses in these difficult economic times.”

Anyone who recognises the suspects and may be able to provide information which could help locate any of them is asked to contact Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222 quoting reference SH/10/3364. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555 111.
