Police are keen to speak to an anonymous witness to a crime in Chobham
Surrey Police is asking for an eye witness who left a note on a car after spotting a crime being carried out to come forward.
Detectives would like to speak to the helpful on-looker who provided certain details about a theft in which a blue Volvo had its back windscreen smashed and a bag was stolen.
The incident happened in the High Street car park in Chobham on Thursday, 15 July when the owner of the car left it in a space close to the public toilets between 8pm and 8.30pm. The 59-year-old driver returned to discover £100 worth of damage to the vehicle and the loss of a bag containing car cleaning products. A yellow post it note was left inside the car with details relating to the offence.
