Police appeal following robbery in Frimley

Surrey Police is appealing for information following a robbery in Frimley which left a Mytchett teenager with a head injury.

The 19-year-old was walking home along Frimley Green Road at around 1am on Saturday (24 July) when he was pushed by a man who walked past him to a nearby bus stop. As the victim approached the bus stop the same man then proceeded to punch and kick him, causing him to fall to the ground. While on the ground another man has joined in kicking him.

During the course of the assault, the victim opened his bag and told the men they could take what they wanted. The men took the bag and made off by foot towards Frimley, discarding two text books and an exercise book from the bag along the way.

The victim suffered a cut above the right eye and bruising to the body as a result of the attack.

The men are both described as white and in their 20s. The first suspect is 5ft 11, of skinny build, with short black hair, and was wearing a white t-shirt at the time of the incident. The second suspect is 6ft, well built, with brown hair, and was wearing a dark blue jacket.

It is believed there may also have been a third man involved.

DC Paul Aldridge said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man as he walked home from visiting a friend. Surrey Police will not tolerate this type of offence and I am urging anyone who may have seen these two suspects in the area, either around the time of the incident or leading up to it, to contact officers as soon as possible on 0845 125 2222, quoting reference SH/10/3790.”

Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555 111.
