Surrey Police is dedicated to providing neighbourhood policing for your area. This page allows you to find out who your local team is and how to contact them. Meet your Neighbourhood Inspector Lynette Shanks
I am the Woking Neighbourhood Inspector with a team of approximately 40 staff who are dedicated to working with you, the community and partners, in solving the issues affecting you in your area. I joined Surrey Police in 1989 spending my first 9 years at Guildford on response, investigation and community duties as well as 5 years on firearms duties. As a sergeant I carried out a variety of roles in a range of departments and areas before moving to North West Surrey Division as an Inspector responsible for a team of officers responding to fast time incidents across the area. I took up my current role in March 2007 and look forward to working with you, my team and partners in delivering a high standard of policing.
