Meet your Neighbourhood Inspector Richard Haycock

I am the Elmbridge Neighbourhood Inspector. I am committed to working with communities and partner organisations to find solutions to local issues.
The Borough now has ten Safer Neighbourhood Teams, dedicated and visible policing teams, made up of Neighbourhood Specialist Officers (NSO) and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO).
Together with colleagues in the Community Safety Team and a pro active team of officers to support them, the Safer Neighbourhood Teams work to tackle crime and disorder issues in local communities and we continue to have successes in dealing with crime and anti-social behaviour across Elmbridge.
A lot of work has been done with partners to address the issue of youth disorder, including parenting support, work in schools and targeting individuals and groups with enforcement and diversionary action. While we have not removed the problem completely, many areas are reporting other priorities at their local Police Panel Meetings.
Drive SMART is the Surrey Police response to the top issue for communities across the County, that being anti-social driving and use of vehicles including speeding and parking. My team are undertaking much work with our partners in this area. For details about who your team are and Police Panel Meetings in your area click on the map below in the area in which you live. Please contact your Safer Neighbourhood Team to discuss any crime or disorder issues in your area.
Elmbridge, like most of Surrey, enjoys one of the lowest crime rates in the country. Your Safer Neighbourhood Teams, Partners and I are working hard to maintain that position. You can help by taking a few simple measures. Join or start a Neighbourhood Watch. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle and make sure you lock it when unattended. Look out for your neighbours and report suspicious behaviour to the police.
