PS Davis Farnham & Western Waverley Sergeant - My Neighbourhood - Surrey Police

PS John-Paul Davis

Farnham & Western Waverley Sergeant

I was born in Surrey and lived here until joining the RAF. After 9 years service I returned to Surrey, moving to the Waverley area to live, joining Surrey Police in 1992 and serving at Knaphill for two years before joining Traffic as a motorcyclist.

I moved to Guildford as a Targeted Patrol Team (TPT) motorcyclist in 2002 and was promoted to Sergeant on TPT. Two years later I moved to the Neighbourhood Team at Guildford as the Guildford Town/Licensing Enforcement Sgt before being made Acting Inspector for Guildford Borough from June 2006 to May 2007.

I moved across to become the Neighbourhood Sergeant for Farnham in July 2007. I am responsible for a team of five Neighbourhood Specialist Officers (NSOs) and four Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) whose job role involves working with the community and partner agencies to conduct long term problem solving. By working with all parts of the community our aim is to further reduce the already low rates of anti-social behaviour and crime in this picturesque part of Surrey.
