Runnymede Neighbourhood Sergeant

Hello, I am Andy Gibbon. I am responsible for Chertsey, Ottershaw, Lyne, Addlestone, New Haw and Woodham.

My aim is to respond appropriately to the needs of the community and continue to reduce and detect crime and disorder. I work closely with our partner agencies and the community to tackle anti-social behaviour.

My team have been getting out and about attending as many events as possible in 2008, supporting the Chertsey Black Cherry Fair, Ottershaw Summer Fete, Heathervale Mid-Summer Fete and Addlestone festival week, as well as holding regular surgeries and panel meetings. You may have noticed us holding surgeries at garden centres in Addlestone and New Haw. In 2009 it is my aim to attend a street-a-week, where my team will attempt to speak to every resident. This is your chance to raise any issues or ask about Neighbourhood Watch Schemes. We will also be looking at getting residents signed up to our Active Citizen System.


I have made many contacts within Runnymede and look forward to building stronger relationships with our partners and the community to continue to reduce crime and disorder. My aim for the future is to continue working with you to tackle anti-social behaviour and build on the confidence you have in my team by being more visible and putting you first, dealing with crime and disorder robustly and keep you safe from harm.
