Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities and general updates

Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities

On 16th June 2010 at the Walton Town Panel meeting speeding in Ashley Road was voted as a Neighbourhood Priority.

We will respond... by continually working on this issue with the Surrey Police Traffic Unit and the Elmbridge Casualty Reduction Officer.

Over the last month we have carried out the following enforcement along Ashley Road:
1 person fined for unnecessary obstruction, and this is all. As you can see it has been a slow month along Ashley Road.

You told us... anti-social behaviour was occurring in the Drewitts/Wilkinson's car park.

We responded... by contining to carry out high-visibility patrols in these areas both by the local officers and the Surrey Police traffic department. While there have been a couple of calls regarding anti social behaviour it has been quiet.

General update

To try and increase the amount of feedback the Walton town neighbourhood team can give and receive from the local community, I would ask you if you are part of a resident association or neighbourhood watch within the area and would like to receive some input from your local team during on of our meetings, please contact me on the details below.

Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities

Dear Resident(s),

You are invited to attend the next Neighbourhood Panel Meeting hosted by your dedicated Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, at which the policing priorities for your area will be decided.

The meeting will be held at 730pm on Wednesday 15/06/2010 at Ashley C Of E Primary School, Ashley Road, Walton On Thames, KT12 1HX and will be hosted by myself, PC Ian Harding and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) Natalie Young.

At the last panel meeting, local residents voted Speeding along the Ashley Road as their top priority. For updates on this and other issues, your Safer Neighbourhood Team is inviting you along to the forthcoming meeting.

Neighbourhood Panels are informal meetings at which residents meet members the local Safer Neighbourhood team, and vote on the issues they are most concerned about in their community. The issues they vote for become the priorities that the team will address in the weeks following the meeting.

Neighbourhood Panel Meetings are set up to give residents and businesses an opportunity to tell the Safer Neighbourhood Team what they think is the most significant policing problem in their community and to get advice from us.

I do hope to see you there.

Kind regards,

PC Ian Harding
