NONSUCH WARD - Update for Panel Meeting on 6th July 2010
Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities
You Said: There is anti-social use of vehicles along Cheam Road
We did: Speed checks along the Cheam Road resulting in
- 50 x words of advice given about speeding
- 2 x words of advice regarding number plate offences
- 5 x Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) for excess speed
- 2 x FPN for Mobile Phone offences
- 2 x FPN for seatbelt offences
General update
In August we will be holding a Roadside Education and Enforcement Day (REED) along the A240 Reigate Road in conjunction with Surrey County Council, Epsom & Ewell Borough Council, Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAM) and Surrey Fire & Rescue.
A man has been arrested for indecent exposure outside Nonsuch Girls School, Cuddington Croft and
in Nonsuch Park. He was interviewed and admitted to numerous offences.
Two people have been arrested for possession of cannabis by Ewell East Rail Station.
Two people have been given warnings for anti-social use of motorcycles on Priest Hill.

Profile: I joined Surrey Police in 2006 after spending three years as a Special Constable. I have served here at Epsom since joining, working for two years in the Criminal Investigation Department before becoming Neighbourhood Specialist Officer for Ewell East.
I am very excited about committing the next stage of my career to this role – it is my goal to provide a consistent and good quality service to the residents, businesses and visitors to the area. Profile: I'm PCSO Jake Mullarkey, I joined the Epsom and Ewell safer neighbourhood team in October 2009. I'll be working alongside PC Diane Walker and you, the community, as well as our partner agencies. We will be tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in your neighbourhood. I will be spending alot of time out on patrol, so if you see me feel free to stop me and say hello.

POLICE SURGERIES - Informal drop-in sessions, discuss your concerns or just stop by for a chat!
Held at:
Bourne Hall, Spring Street Ewell. Last Tuesday of very month from 2pm to 3pm
Nonsuch Park Cafe. Last Wednesday of every month from 1pm to 2pm
Contacting Officers
Neighbourhood Officers can also be contacted in person. You can visit the police station or office where we work from, or we are generally able to make home visits. Some officers run surgeries where you can discuss any issues.
All matters are treated with the utmost confidence.
In the event of a serious incident, officers may be called away unexpectedly.

Community Payback
Community Payback projects range from litter removal to clearing dense under growth, and environmental projects through repairing and redecorating community centres or removing graffiti.
