Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities and general updates
Update: 12/07/2010 15:38:48
General update
You told us… at the last panel meeting of your concerns about speeding and double parking in Cuddington Avenue and surrounding areas
We responded… by working with our Roads Policing Unit at this location and have since seen a reduction of speeding vehicles and the number of cars parked outside a resident’s property. We’ve also noticed more considerate parking taking place during school hours
You asked us... to monitor speeding along Worcester Park Road and The Avenue.
In response... we tasked our Roads Policing Unit to monitor this problem weekly. As a result, a number of drivers have been reported for speeding at this location in the last few months.
You voted… (At both Panel Meetings) that we clamp down on anti-social behaviour in the three wards. A few of the shops reported youths hanging around outside their premises and causing problems in the evenings.
We responded… by stepping up patrols at the problem hot-spots and moving youths out of the area. On some occasions we took youngsters home to their parents.
We also arrested a number of youths for theft and criminal damage and have nominated a few for Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs). On another occasion two PND notices were issued to offenders.
You asked us... to clamp down on Bogus Traders.
In response... three males were arrested and charged under Section 2 of the Fraud Act.
Due to your continued support and improved use of our resources, local businesses have seen a reduction in theft, criminal damage and anti-social behaviour.
Your Safer Neighbourhood Team recommend that you report all incidents by ringing 999 or 0845 1252222.

I joined Surrey Police in April 2007 as part of the neighbourhood team in Addlestone before transferring to Epsom in October 2007. My main focus are Stoneleigh, Auriol and Cuddington. I have good support from your local PC Dan Doherty and the rest of the Epsom team, who between them have a wealth of experience in dealing with neighbourhood concerns and issues.
