Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities and general updates
Update: 19/06/2010 19:40:52
You Said... We Did
You told us... of your concerns about motorists parking anti-socially in Lancaster Avenue, Guildford; particularly vehicles parking on pavements and on or opposite road junctions, thereby causing an obstruction.
We responded... by patrolling the area scrupulously in order to gather intelligence, educate motorists and enforce penalties against repeat offenders. This includes activity conducted by the wider Safer Neighbourhood Team, Roads Police Community Support Officers (RPCSOs) and the Casualty Reduction Officer.

Profile: I have been in the Police service for almost fourteen years, ten of those years in Surrey. During this time I have served in Hampshire as a Special Constable, the response team covering West Surrey and Dog Section covering the county. I have dealt with a variety of incidents during my time in the police and on two occasions have gained a Chief Constable's Commendation for my actions. I look forward to the challenge of making Guildford a safer place for Surrey residents and encourage your feedback and ideas on how I can best serve you.

Profile: I joined Surrey Police as a PCSO in February 2003 before enrolling on Police Officer Training in August 2006. In March 2007, I commenced a role in the Criminal Investigation Department, developing a broad range of skills. In August 2008, I joined the Guildford Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Team. My role is to work within the fabric of the area and work towards resolving any issues or concerns you may have within your community. I will endeavour to reduce crime, the fear of crime and provide a highly visible, recognisable and reassuring presence in the community. Working together with Police colleagues and our partner agencies, I will tackle crime and combat antisocial behaviour. Together we can make Guildford Town a safer place to live and work.
