New faces within Mole Valley’s Safer Neighbourhood Team

Some new faces will be joining the Safer Neighbourhood Teams with safety at the heart of their priorities.

New Neighbourhood Inspector Terri Poulton is committed to informing the community who their local officers are and wants to reassure the community these changes will not impact on neighbourhood policy.

Inspector Poulton said,” It’s important the Mole Valley community know who their local sergeant, Neighbourhood Specialist Officer and Police Community Support Officer are. Some of these changes are due to retirement and maternity cover but I can assure you our high standards will continue.

“We have excellent sergeants and officers in Mole Valley all of whom are dedicated and work hard to maintain low levels of crime in Mole Valley.

“I would like to introduce the community to some of the changes that have and will be taking place.”

To cover for an officer on maternity leave in the Dorking Rural West team Police Constable Mark Trezise is joining the team. While we will also be losing PCSO Jamie Williams at the end of July, he is not leaving the force but starting his training as an Officer and we wish him success in his new role. PCSO Kim Boichat, currently with the Dorking Town Safer Neighbourhood Team, will step in to this role to make up the new Dorking Rural West Team. These moves will ensure Dorking Rural West remains a balanced team with a variety of skills. Dorking Town Safer Neighbourhood team will be joined by PC Mike Mann who is moving over from Leatherhead.

In addition Mole Valley has two new sergeants who have already been out and about in Mole Valley making themselves known and getting familiar with the local community and issues that concern them. Sergeant Andy Rundle has taken over as the new Dorking Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant and is committed to crime and disorder issues and PS Bert Dean is now the Mole Valley Neighbourhood Support Team Sergeant.
