Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities and general updates

Update: 27/08/2010 15:26:30

Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities
You told us... of your concerns about drivers parking in such a manner as to cause obstruction to bus stops, driveways and junctions along London Road, Ringwood Avenue and Holcon Court.

We responded... by agreeing to visit the area each week to enforce parking offences. So far this has resulted in the issue of 12 parking fines and a number of advisory notices.

At the panel meeting on 22nd July, 2010, Cllr Dr Hack assured the meeting that the yellow lines were due to be installed imminently. As a short term measure she will also endeavour to get cones in place to prevent parking on the junction.

In the last week we have visited the area and placed six warning notices on vehicles that have been parked inconsiderately obscuring drivers’ sightlines.
We will continue to monitor the situation until the yellow lines on the junctions have been put in place

You told us... you were concerned about inconsiderate parking outside Wray Common School.

We have.. alerted the Casualty Reduction Officer who is aware of the parking problems at the school and is planning to carry out some joint work with Reigate and Banstead enforcement officers.

You said… in calls to our call handling centre that bike thefts from Park 25 have increased.

We have… created a neighbourhood issue, RB/10/6450, relating to this problem. We have also carried out a letter drop to residences on Park 25 making all residents aware of the problem. Surrey Police have also carried out DNA marking of push bikes on Park 25 on two occasions recently. We will continue to patrol the area and stop and account persons on bicycles.
