Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities and general updates
Update: 23/07/2010 14:59:32
Actions taken on your neighbourhood priorities
You said:- Cars are still continuing to park inappropriately along Holloway Hill, Chertsey
We did:- We have continued to patrol the area and placed Fixed Penalty notices on any offending vehicles found. The parking along Guildford Road appears to have reduced since the visiting times have changed at the Hospital
You said:- At the local panel meeting that there has been an increase in Anti-social behaviour in the Ottershaw area, especially when Brook Hall is being used in the evenings.
We have:- not received any official complaints but we are liaising with local shop keepers and residents to get a true reflection to what is happening. We have been patrolling the area but have not seen an increase in this type of behaviour.
You said: At the panel meeting that there was speeding along Foxhills Road and Lyne Lane, Lyne.
We did:- Speed enforcement along Foxhills Road and out of 42 vehicles 2 were shown to be speeding. Enforcement was also completed along Lyne Lane and out of 50 cars no vehicles where found to be speeding.
General update
For the next panel meeting in Ottershaw and Lyne, we have requested for our new Crime Reduction Adviser PC Phil Grant to attend to give advice on his expertise. If there is anything specific that you would like him to bring then just send me a quick email so I can get it organised.

Profile:
I am a Neighbourhood Specialist Officer for Rowtown/Ottershaw/Foxhills and Lyne and I have worked for Surrey Police as a civilian since 1992, mainly working in communications, answering urgent and non-urgent calls, dealing with the radio and the front counter, so I have a wealth of local knowledge. I hope to put this to very good use by dealing with any anti-social behaviour and reducing and detecting more crime. I will be doing regular foot patrols in the area so if you would like to discuss any issues with me then please get in touch or come and say hello. I am more than happy to come to any of your meetings, just let me know the dates and times.

Profile: I joined the Rowtown, Ottershaw and Foxhills Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team at the beginning of March, before this I was working for 23 years for an international dental manufacturer. I applied for the role of PCSO as I didn't want to spend the next 20 years sitting behind a desk, I wanted to do something that was worthwhile and would help other people. When I'm not at work I enjoy kickboxing and walking my dog.
When you see me out and about, please stop and introduce yourself.
