Can you help following head-on collision in Guildford?

We are appealing for witnesses after a head-on collision in Guildford earlier this evening (11 October).

The two vehicle collision, involving a silver Toyota Rav 4 and a green Suzuki Jimny, took place around 6.55pm in Aldershot Road near the junction with Rydes Hill Road.

A male passenger from one of the vehicles was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with serious injuries after being cut free by fire crews. Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.

The road remains closed while the investigation into the circumstances of the collision takes place.

We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or with any information to come forward. Officers are also keen to see any dashcam or helmet footage from vehicles that may have been travelling along that road prior to the collision.
