Did you see assault outside Camberley pub?

We are appealing for witnesses following an assault outside a pub in Camberley which has left a man with serious head injuries.

The incident happened at 11.20pm yesterday (Jan 12) outside the Surrey Arms, in High Street. The man was assaulted and taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emma Erangey said: “This was a serious assault which took place at a busy time of night and we are sure there would have been witnesses to what happened.

“If you were in the area at the time please get in touch by calling 101 and quoting PR/45180004630 if you have any information whatsoever about what happened. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

A man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released while remaining under investigation.
