Did you witness an aggravated burglary at a Leatherhead newsagents on Saturday evening?

Just before 9pm on Saturday (4 November) a man entered the Premier News Express on Woodlands Steels Lane and threatened the shop assistant with a knife. He then demanded money from the till and cigarettes before making off with the items. The shop assistant was unharmed.
Detective Constable Claire Catcheside, who is leading the investigation said: “This is an extremely serious offence and was a frightening ordeal for the shop assistant, we now need the public to help us with our investigation.
“If you were near the Premier News Express in Oxshott on Saturday and saw anyone acting suspiciously, no matter how small, then I urge you to get in touch. We are also interested in viewing any CCTV or Dashcam footage that may be of use to us.”
