Redhill man behind bars for numerous offences
The hard work and efforts of the Reigate and Banstead team led to a Redhill man being put behind bars for 13 months for numerous offences when he appeared in court this week.
Craig Dansie, 20, of Rydons Way, Redhill, was sentenced to 20 weeks’ imprisonment after being found guilty of 12 charges, including obstructing a police officer, criminal damage, common assault, public order offences and possession of cannabis.
He was also given restraining orders against two women from Redhill.
Dansie pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court, for which he received a further eight months’ detention in a Young Offenders Institute. He was also ordered to pay a £140 victim surcharge and forfeit the knife.
Reigate and Banstead Neighbourhood Inspector Angie Austin said: “This is a fantastic result for the Redhill community, who will be hugely reassured knowing that Dansie has been taken off their streets. The weight of evidence against him also ensured that he was remanded during his various court appearances and I would like to say a massive well done to my team for all their hard work and efforts in ensuring that he has been brought to justice.”
