Update following collision in Westcott

We can confirm that a man sadly died following a collision on the A25 near Westcott yesterday morning (28 October).
The collision, involving a green Mercedes Sprinter van and a Blue Ford Fusion took place around 6.25am.
The driver of the Fusion, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the collision.
The driver of the Sprinter van, a man in his 40s, suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police are continuing to try and trace the next of kin for the man who died.
The road was closed in both directions for several hours while we investigated the incident and for the vehicles to be recovered.
