Witness appeal following robbery at recreation ground in Epsom
Main article content
We are appealing for witnesses after two 14-year-old boys were robbed and punched at The Warren Recreation Ground.
The victims were playing badminton when they were approached by the suspects at around 8-8.15pm on 27 May.
The suspects began verbally abusing the boys before punching one of the victims in the head and running off with his headphones.
After a member of the public intervened, the headphones were returned to the victim.
The suspects are described as two white men in their late teens or early 20s:
- One suspect was wearing a baseball cap, black shorts with a red stripe down the side, white trainers and had no top on at the time of the incident. He also had a tattoo on the inside of his lower right arm.
- The other suspect was wearing black baggy tracksuit bottoms which were spattered with paint, white trainers and also had no top on at the time of the incident.
We believe the suspects were last seen in the vicinity of Epsom Downs at around 9.30pm and may have been accompanied by a woman.
