Six people, including three prisoners, have been charged as part of an investigation into a conspiracy to smuggle drugs into HMP High Down.
In total eight people were arrested after a package suspected to be cannabis was thrown over the prison wall at around 10am on Wednesday 22 July.
Six people have subsequently been charged with conspiracy to bring, throw, or convey a List ' A ' prohibited article into or out of a prison. They are:
- Twenty-three year-old Jaspal Daudher of Varcoe Garden in Hayes.
- Nineteen year-old Almos Abbirazak Hassan of Evergreen Drive in Hillingdon.
- Twenty-one year-old Matthew Alexander Horace McKennon of Fairview Road in Wolverhampton.
- Three prisoners: Twenty-four year-old Tajinder Daudher, twenty-two year-old Jason Hunte, and twenty-six year-old Carlos Connor Louis Lopez-Fagan.
All apart from Lopez-Fagan appeared at Guildford Magistrates Court on Friday 24 July. Lopez-Fagan will appear at the same court on 18 September.
The remaining five are due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on 27 August.
Two women, aged eighteen and twenty, who were arrested have been released without charge, but remain under investigation.
