Victim named following fail to stop collision in Shepperton

The man who was killed in a fail to stop collision in Shepperton on Saturday, 19 September has been named as local man Brendan O’Connell.
Brendan O’Connell, 52 from Shepperton sadly died following the collision which occurred on Walton Bridge Road shortly before 8pm.
Officers from Surrey Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind Brendan’s death and are appealing to any witnesses to come forward. A red van is believed to have been involved and we’d like anyone with any dash cam footage from the area between 7:30pm and 8pm to get in contact as soon as possible.
A 59 year old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and released under investigation.
