Did you hear or see anything suspicious at Millmead Lock in Guildford on the evening of Monday 21 September?

We are appealing for further witnesses following a report that a woman in her 30s was subjected to a serious sexual assault at the park near Millmead Lock in Guildford.

The incident is alleged to have taken place between 11.30pm on Monday 21 September and 12.30am on Tuesday 22 September.

A 19-year-old man from Guildford has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Deborah Birch said: “We would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area on those dates and heard or saw anything suspicious - your information could be vital to our investigation.
