Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were spotted trying to sell perfume in Woking Town Centre on Wednesday (24 February).
The men were seen approaching random members of the public in Mercia Walk showing them items in a plastic shopping bag. On spotting the police one of the men ran off in the direction of Commercial Way and a bag containing 10 unwrapped boxes of perfume were found near where he had been standing.
Woking Neighbourhood Officer PC Tom Hinch said: “We would like to speak to anyone who has been approached in Woking Town Centre and asked if they would like to buy perfume.
“If you have witnessed these incidents or something similar or have any further information, please contact us.”
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
