We are appealing for witnesses following an incident, which occurred on the afternoon of Friday (9 April), in Caterham.
The incident involved a robbery of two young boys shortly after 6pm near Stafford Road, Caterham by one suspect. The two victims were verbally intimidated and physically attacked by the suspect.
The suspect took one of the victim’s bikes before riding off towards Church Hill.
It is believed a member of public witnessed what occurred before challenging the suspect to leave the bike. The bike was then returned to the victim.
Following progressed enquiries, the suspect was arrested shortly before midnight yesterday (Friday, 9 April).
Investigating Officer James Chichester said “We’d like to thank the member of public who intervened and helped the two boys. If this is you, we are appealing for you to come forward.”
