We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A308 Staines Road East, Sunbury-on-Thames, earlier this evening (4 May).
The collision, involving a car and a pedestrian, occurred around 6pm outside the main entrance to Kempton Park Racecourse.
The pedestrian, a 14-year-old boy, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The female driver of the car was uninjured but is being treated for shock.
The road is currently closed in both directions.
We are appealing for anyone with any information, especially if you were driving in the area at the time of the collision and you have dashcam footage, to get in touch with us straightaway, by contacting us on 101, quoting incident reference PR/P21093481.
We would also ask that you do not speculate about the circumstances surrounding the collision – enquiries remain ongoing.
