Eight dogs seized after animal welfare warrant in Lyne

Eight dogs of various breeds have been seized following an animal welfare warrant in Lyne on Sunday (27 June).
Officers attended an address on Almners Road in Lyne at approximately 8.00am, following concerns about the welfare of a number of dogs at the location.
All the dogs found on the site were examined by a vet at the location. Four were seized under the Animal Welfare Act due to animal welfare concerns, and four were seized while we conduct enquiries to verify ownership. Microchip enquiries are ongoing, and any owners identified through this process will be contacted.
No arrests have been made at this time.
