Officers were called to an address in Wrecclesham, Farnham yesterday (11 June) following reports of a resident being assaulted in his own home.
The suspect had entered the victim’s home and assaulted him. The victim sustained significant injuries. Police were called by a neighbour and shortly after officers arrived, a male was arrested.
The victim remains in a serious, but stable condition in hospital.
A 27-year-old man from Addlestone has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody.
It is believed that the victim and the suspect were not known to each other, and that there is no threat or risk to the wider public. We want to thank the community for their assistance in the matter.
The investigation remains ongoing.
