Arrest made following reported theft of a motorbike in Byfleet

An arrest has been made after the reported theft of a motorbike from High Road in Byfleet at around 4pm on Wednesday, 11 August 2021.
The motorbike was found later on Wednesday, 11 August, but had been damaged. The reported theft was captured on CCTV.
On Wednesday, 22 September, a 16-year-old boy from West Byfleet was arrested on suspicion of taking the motorbike without the owner’s consent.
He was also arrested on suspicion of theft, assault, and possession of a bladed article in a public place. This is in relation to the theft of a bike on Sunday, 12 September, reports of an individual being seen in the street with a large knife on Tuesday, 14 September, and an assault on Wednesday, 15 September.
The 16-year-old is currently in police custody.
Woking’s Borough Commander Dave Bentley said: “We would like to reassure the public that we are doing everything we can to investigate these reports and this arrest shows that we are making progress.
