A Section 35 Dispersal Order has been put in place by the British Transport Police for Godalming railway station this weekend.
The order will run from 4pm on Saturday, 3 December to 3.59pm on Sunday, 5 December and will cover the railway station on Station Approach and the car park.
The order was requested following anti-social behaviour and violent occurrences in relation to the number of young people hanging around the station, playing loud music and intimidating passengers and staff. In response to this it has been felt necessary to put in place the 48 hour dispersal order which gives officers the power to ask a group of two or more people to leave the dispersal area if they are committing anti-social behaviour, or if we believe they may, or are likely to, cause a nuisance to someone else.
