Dispersal order for Staines town centre for New Year’s Eve

A Section 34 dispersal order has been put in place for Staines town centre this New Year’s Eve.
The order is in place from 1pm on Friday, 31 December 2021 to 4am on Saturday, 1 January 2022.
There has been an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area during the festive period, and this order has been put in place to ensure everyone’s safety during New Year’s Eve.
A dispersal order under Section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act gives us the power to direct anyone committing crime or disorder to leave the dispersal order area – this includes the belief that they are likely to harass or cause alarm or distress to anyone else.
Sergeant Ali Dunlop said: “We are committed to doing everything we can to keep everyone safe this New Year’s Eve. If any members of the community see any suspicious, anti-social, or threatening behaviour, please report it to us. In an emergency, always call 999.”
