Arrest made following suspected arson at primary school in Esher

Officers investigating a fire at Hinchley Wood Primary School in Esher over the weekend have arrested a man on suspicion of arson.
Surrey Police were called by Surrey Fire and Rescue at around 11:50pm on Saturday night (25 September) following reports of a fire at the school on Claygate Lane in Esher. Several roads were closed in the area and the fire was extinguished in the early hours of Sunday morning. An investigation was launched due to the strong belief that the fire was started deliberately.
A 19-year-old man from Newton Abbott been arrested in connection with this investigation. He has since been released under investigation.
