We are continuing to investigate following a fatal collision on the A331 in Tongham earlier today (28 September).
The road is still closed after a female pedestrian died after being struck by multiple vehicles near the Ash bridge shortly after midnight.
We were called following reports that the body of a young woman had been found in the carriageway. It is believed she was struck by at least four vehicles and enquiries remain ongoing to identify these vehicles.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The road is likely to remain closed for several hours while the investigation into the collision is completed. Diversions are in place but we would ask motorists to be patient and avoid the area if they can for the time being.
