A joint operation targeting county lines drug dealing has led to three men being imprisoned for a combined total of around 10 years and seven months.
John Beadle, 61, of Stonehouse Rise, Frimley and Mustafa Daud, 40, of The Green, Southall both pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin. Abdirahman Mohamed, 42, of Langdale Drive, Hayes was found guilty of the same offences after a trial at Guildford Crown Court concluded on Wednesday (9 February).
Daud was previously convicted for drug dealing in 2011 and 2018 and was subject to a Serious Crime Prevention Order, which he also pleaded guilty to breaching on two counts.
The trio were caught after Surrey Police and Metropolitan Police Service worked together to investigate community reports of drug dealing and the three men were identified as supplying drugs through the so-called ‘Jamal’ county line.
On 7 September 2021 a warrant was conducted by officers from both forces at an address in Frimley. Beadle was found inside the property with 11 wraps of cocaine and heroin down his trousers. Daud fled the property when officers arrived but was detained shortly afterwards and Mohamed was located in a car outside of the address. All three were arrested and remanded into custody.
A search of the property found further evidence of drug dealing, including cling film cut into small strips, latex gloves and scales. Officers seized multiple phones including the main phone used in the drug dealing operation. Beadle, Daud and Mohamed were found to be running the ‘Jamal’ county line, which was a name previously used by Daud when he was convicted of drug dealing in 2018. He was released from prison for this in December 2020.
All three men appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Friday (11 February).
Beadle was sentenced to two years.
Daud was sentenced to 2045 days in prison (Around 5 years 7 months).
Mohamed was sentenced to three and a half years.
Detective Constable Pete Coe said: “Today’s result has removed three organised criminals from Surrey’s streets. As a Force we’re determined to disrupt and dismantle county lines drug dealing and I hope this investigation shows our communities that their reports really can make the difference. If you suspect drug dealing, please let us know – your information might be key.”
