We are appealing for information following reports that a vehicle in Weybridge was deliberately set on fire in the early hours this morning (Tuesday, 22 March).
Officers were called to an address on Pennington Drive in Weybridge just before 3am after the vehicle, a blue Land Rover Discovery, was seen on fire in the driveway of a residential property. The fire spread to another vehicle and to the house. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and put out the fire. Thankfully, no one was injured.
A male suspect in dark clothing is reported to have used an object to smash the window of the car which caught fire. He is then believed to have cycled to Castle Road where he placed his bike in the back of a black estate vehicle before being driven away.
