A teenager has been charged following the murder of 17-year-old Kyle Wright in Camberley on Friday night (27 May).
The teenager, who is also 17 years and from Camberley, and who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder, possession of a bladed article and possession of an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court later today.
Officers were called to Greenhill Road at the junction with Copped Hall Drive around 10.50pm following reports of a stabbing.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, Kyle was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation was swiftly launched by Surrey and Sussex’s Major Crime Team and remains ongoing.
Kyle’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.
