Officers were called to a residential address in Bracknell Road on Friday, April 29 following reports of a distraction burglary at 9.45am.
A woman knocked on the door of the property and told the elderly resident that she had lost her cat and could he help her find it. The male victim left the house with the woman and while they were gone a male suspect then entered and proceeded to take watches and jewellery. He fled the house when he was disturbed by the female occupant who was still at home. The pair were seen driving away in a silver Mercedes CLK.
The female suspect has been described as in her 30s with a strong accent.
The male suspect has been described as in his 30s or 40s.
