We’re appealing for witnesses following a hate crime incident in Egham on Saturday, 23 July.
Earlier today we shared an image of man we wanted to speak to in connection with the incident. We’re pleased to confirm he has now been identified and is assisting us with our enquiries. We ask that you do not share this image any further.
We’re still appealing for anyone who saw the incident to get in touch. The victims were out walking their dog in Walnut Tree Gardens Park on Egham High Street at around 3.10pm when two men verbally abused them with threatening and homophobic language.
One of the suspects is described as a White man of slim build in his 20s or early 30s. He is described as having dark hair. The second suspect is described as a White man of slim build in his mid 20s, around 5ft 10" in height with medium length blonde hair. He was wearing a white short sleeve plain t-shirt, light grey shorts and brown walking shoes.
