With deep sorrow we offer our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen dedicated her life to public service and as a mark of respect, Union Flags will be flown at half-mast on our buildings during this period of national mourning.
In line with protocol, they will be raised to full mast for the proclamation of the new monarch and then returned to half-mast until after the funeral.
Over the coming days, we will now be working together with colleagues from other forces to support the policing requirements for the funeral and any other ceremonial events.
We will update you with relevant policing information when possible and you can also find further information about arrangements both locally and nationally at:
And your local borough/district council websites.
