We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Guildford on the evening of Saturday, 24 September.
Officers were called to Stoke Road at around 9.45pm, after receiving reports of two men being assaulted outside The Stoke Pub.
One man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
A 41-year-old man from Guildford was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and assault causing grievous bodily harm. He has since been bailed.
