We’re appealing for witnesses after two burglaries in Woldingham last night (18 October).
The first took place at around 7.40pm at a property on Park View Road. Two hooded men were seen on CCTV in the garden and the homeowners discovered that an untidy search of the master bedroom had been carried out.
This burglary is believed to be linked to another which occurred on Long Hill at around 8.10pm the same night. A window had been smashed and an untidy search was carried out in the bedroom. It is not yet known if anything was taken.
A silver or grey car with four people inside was seen in the area of the village hall and The Crescent around the time of the offences.
Investigating officer, Sergeant Tom Griffin said: “We’re carrying out enquiries in the area and are keen to speak to anyone who noticed anything suspicious on Station Road last night, in particular anyone who saw the suspect car mentioned or may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area.
“We believe these two offences may be linked and would encourage residents to remain vigilant and review the security at their property. We would like to reassure the community that we are doing all we can to find those responsible.”
