We are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Laleham this afternoon (10 August).
We were called to Thameside around 3.20pm following reports that the man had been attacked by a group of four or five men who then fled the scene in a vehicle.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A search is underway to locate the suspects involved and we are appealing for anyone with any information or dashcam footage to come forward as soon as possible.
North Surrey Inspector Will Keen said: “The incident took place by the river next to the camping site and would have been witnessed by a lot of people. We understand that this would have caused significant concern and distress and we would like to reassure the local community that we are doing everything we can to locate the suspects, who we believe were known to the victim. We do not believe there is any threat to the wider community at this time but obviously we are keen to find those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.”
