We are currently seeing a rise in burglaries where jewellery is targeted over electronics and other valuable items. If you keep high value or sentimental jewellery in your home, please consider the following safety tips:
Storing your valuables in a safe that is securely fixed to the ground or wall.
Storing any high value items elsewhere such as in a safety deposit box at the bank.
Insuring your jewellery.
Making a list of all the jewellery stored in your house with a description of each item and its value.
Taking clear photos of all your jewellery against a plain background with a ruler next to them for scale.
Taking a few extra minutes to secure your home when you go out, even for a short time.
