Witness appeal following collision in Ewell

We’re appealing for witnesses after a collision in Ewell earlier today (Friday, 2 June).

At around 2.05pm the driver of a black Yamaha X-Max moped collided with a traffic island on Ruxley Lane. The driver and passenger of the moped, both teenagers, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Their next of kin have been informed.

Ruxley Lane is currently closed in both directions between the junction with Scotts Farm Road and Pams Way. There is significant traffic and we ask that drivers please avoid the area if possible, particularly if coming from the Chessington direction.

We would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the moped in the minutes leading up to the collision.

Both teenagers are described as wearing black helmets, with one wearing grey hooded jumper and black trainers.
