We are appealing for help in establishing the circumstances following the discovery of a woman’s body yesterday (Wednesday, 28 June) in Egham Hythe.
Officers were called just before 12.15pm to reports of a body in a lake just off Green Lane.
Emergency services attended the scene, and sadly the body of a woman in her 30s was recovered from the water.
The woman has not yet been formally identified and a post-mortem will take place to establish the cause of death.
Detective Chief Inspector Debbie White said: “We are currently treating the death as unexplained and enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances around what happened. Local officers will remain in the area while we conduct our investigation.”
