Witness appeal following fatal collision in Woking

We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a motorcyclist and van earlier today (15 June)

Officers were called to Smart's Heath Road, Woking this morning at around 9am following reports of a collision between a white Toyota van and black motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his fifties, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by careless driving and causing death whilst being unlicensed and uninsured.

The road remains closed between Saunders lane and Blackhorse Road whilst emergency services attended the scene.

We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
