Man assaulted in Bagshot dies

A 37-year-old man from Bracknell who was assaulted in Bagshot has since passed away in hospital.

Officers attended reports of an assault on Bagshot High Street at around 10am on Thursday, 15 June. The man was taken to hospital where he remained until his death on Thursday, 6 July. His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.

Darren Makepeace, 38, of Wensley Road, Reading, was charged on Friday, 16 June with causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody whilst the investigation continues.
