We are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Epsom yesterday evening (16 July). At around 9:15pm, officers were made aware of two men who had approached a man whilst walking along a footpath in Rosebery Park, South Street in Epsom. Whilst approaching the victim they proceeded to brandish a knife and demanded the victim gave them their mobile phone. The victim was then chased out of Rosebery Park onto South Street. The first suspect is described as White, having short, dark hair and is approximately 6ft 2in tall. He was wearing a coat and jeans, has four front teeth missing and tattoos on his neck. The second suspect is described as White and approximately 5ft 6in tall. He was wearing a full grey tracksuit and had his hood up. They were both described as having an English accent.
