We are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Weybridge early this morning (Saturday, 15 July).
The six-vehicle collision took place at around 12:40am this morning on Balfour Road. The collision involved the drivers of five cars, including a silver Mitsubishi Outlander and a white Toyota Prius, and the driver of a heavy goods vehicle.
One person, a man in his sixties, has been taken to hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of a number of driving related offences, including failing to stop for police and theft of a motor vehicle. They remain in police custody.
Balfour Road was closed while the emergency services responded, but has now reopened.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as the driver of one of the cars involved previously came to the notice of the police prior to the collision.
